We’ve come to selectively love Land’s End. Most of their clothes are too frumpy, and lack style.
But with some careful weeding out, some real gems can be found at great prices.
This winter parents continually asked us where we bought our child’s snow boots, a pair of easy-on easy-off snow boots shaped like a fox. Other items we have recieved raves on include this bathing suit, these mary jane summer shoes and these shoes we scooped up for only $8. Naturally we are addicted to their tote bags. Their new Canvas line, which might as well be branded “Anorexia! It’s not just for models anymore!”, also looks quite snazzy.
For real bargains, check out the “Over The Counter” section. Every saturday they put up about 100 items at a discount. On Monday the price goes down another 25%. On Wednesday, 50%. And on Friday, 75%. Naturally, by the time Friday hits, you’d better be a wierd plus size (18) or super petite (XXS) because that’s about all that’s left.
Still, it is an incredible way to scoop up a bargain if you’re awake early enough!
